  • Practice listening and speaking skills for communicating:
    • with co-workers, supervisors and customers
    • on the telephone
    • in job interviews
  • Read newspapers, job ads, websites
  • Learn more about communication in the Canadian Workplace
  • Write memos, emails, telephone messages, resumes and cover letters
  • Use the computer to search for career information
  • Job shadow

Dates:

January 3, 2006 - March 24, 2006, 12 weeks full-time Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm plus a 3-hour tutorial.

Registration:

ABESAP (Financial Aid) may be available

Prerequisites:

 

Placement at Lower or Upper Intermediate or CLB 4 or 5 for Speaking/Listening and 4 or higher for Reading/Writing
