The English Language Skills Department at King Edward Campus offers part-time and full-time courses in ESL from Upper Beginner Level to Upper Advanced Level. Most classes are offered four days per week - Monday to Thursday. Classes focus on the four basic language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Special Skill classes that focus on one or two skills are also offered. In the classroom, students learn from the teacher and by working in small groups and pairs. At the end of each term, students are assessed to determine an appropriate placement for the following semester. This involves in-class assessments and final tests. Students who complete Upper Advanced Level (EASL 070) are eligible to enter the College Preparatory English Department. Please click on Courses for more information. |
